Birth date field seems to be nil

when a user submits the signup form by entering his personal details, birth date column in the database seems to be nil

- State changed from “new” to “open”
This is a ruby 1.9.2 thing.... good catch. the parsing for ruby 1.9.2 changed. I'll fix it right now.
